One of the first questions every first-timer asks: what does it actually cost to skydive in Ontario? Here's a straight answer, with no surprises.
Tandem skydiving prices
A tandem jump is how nearly everyone does their first skydive. At Skydive SWOOP, tandem prices are:
- 8,000 ft — $359 (about 25 seconds of freefall)
- 11,000 ft — $369 (about 40 seconds of freefall)
Both include your training, all gear, a certified instructor, and a canopy ride back down. Prices are plus HST. There's a small weight surcharge for guests over 220 lb ($75) and over 250 lb ($150), to cover the additional equipment.
What about photos and video?
You can't wear your own camera on a tandem (it's a CSPA safety rule), so if you want footage, add a media package:
- Hand-Cam — $159 (filmed by your instructor)
- Outside Video — $199 (a camera flyer jumps with you)
- Rockstar — $299 (both angles, edited)
Most people add one. You only get one first jump — the footage is worth it.

Why prices vary between dropzones
Skydiving prices in Ontario depend on altitude, aircraft, location, and what's included. Cheaper isn't always better — gear condition, instructor experience, and safety record matter far more than a $20 difference. SWOOP has been jumping since 1979 with a proven record and gear updated every season.
